Asus Eee PC 1005HA comes with Super Hybrid Engine that is an application running on MS Windows. The smart application could adjust the clock rate of the processor by yourself depending on your requirement to save battery power or gain more performance.
Super Hybrid Engine provides 4 setting modes included:
1. Super High Performance Mode, for gaining more performance.
2. High Performance Mode, for using normal condition.
3. Power Saving Mode, for saving battery power.
4. Auto Mode, for automatic adjustment between High Performance Mode and Power Saving Mode by application.
In the deep details, Super High Performance Mode will overclock* the CPU clock rate, a multiple of CPU multiplier and motherboard’s front side bus (FSB), to gain more performance. This application is automatic adjustment between CPU multiplier and motherboard’s FSB and increase CPU clock rate from 1.6 GHz (Intel Atom N270) to 1.7 GHz that will gain more performance of processor.
For Power Saving Mode, Super Hybrid Engine will adjust CPU clock rate from 1.6 GHz to 1.2 GHz. CPU work rate will decrease that affect to lower CPU temperature and higher battery lifespan.
The last, Auto Mode is an automatic adjustment between Power Saving Mode when you are on battery power and High Performance Mode when you plug it in.

To prevent the bottleneck effect when use the Super High Performance Mode, you should utilize SO-DIMM DDR-2 PC2-6400 200-pin 800 MHz memory module. The keyboard of Asus Eee PC 1005HA is a comfortable 92% of the size of a regular notebook’s keyboard. That decreases the spacing between the keys compare with Asus Eee PC 1000HE, so Asus Eee PC 1005HA has a larger size of the keys and becomes closely your finger width.
